Before earning his law degree, cum laude, from North Carolina Central University School of Law, Billy obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University, where he graduated in 2006 with a double minor in business and psychology. That unique academic background, combining dollars-and-cents practicality with an appreciation of the more intangible yet just as real implications of financial distress, informs his thoughtful legal approach.
